On October 12, 2013, the fracturing fluid flowback of ** well reached a total of 317.45 cubic meters with flowback rate of 3.87% in Santanghu basin. At this point, the largest fracturing operation of this well achieved a success in Tuha Oilfield and refreshed three records of multiple stages, fluid volume and sand volume into well.
Santanghu basin, located in barkol kazak autonomous county, Hami, Xinjiang, was vital for camel traders in the ancient Silk Road. There were rich Tight Oil (Gas) resources. Due to low porosity and low permeability, the reservoir is of low natural productivity of single well was low. In order to improve the single well production, Tuha Oilfield would do technology research of horizontal well this year.
** well deployed in Santanghu Tiaohuzu reservoir was an important exploratory well. This well began to drill on July 21 and completed on September 12 with the horizontal segment of 804 meters. For the problems of quick decline in output and short production plateau caused by conventional fracturing technologies on the reconstruction of tight oil reservoir, the relevant units in Tuha Oilfield did research repeatedly to determine the implementation of large volume fracturing about 8 sections of horizontal well. Finally, the integration application of bridge plug sectioning, clustered perforation and compound fracturing implemented " vertical surgery " in all the horizontal section.
Fracturing team 2 and team 3 famous for invincible army gathered in Tuha Downhole Company. They used more than 50 sets of special vehicles to assemble together several equipment scattered in fracturing team like transformers with large-scale fracturing operation ability.
With the challenging problem of preparing nearly 10 thousand cubic meters of fracturing fluid, Tuha Downhole Company broke the routine to dug liquid storage pool of 2200 cubic meters at the well site, installed 40 liquid storage tanks and built two fluid preparing sites. 24-hour continuous operation avoided fracturing moratorium due to inadequate fluid volume.
The volume fracturing of 8 stages and 24 clusters achieved a great success by casing and bridge plug after six days and nights of continuous operation in the ** well from September 27 to October 2. The well was actually pumped 8201 cubic meters of fluid volume and 602.3 cubic meters of sand volume, which refreshed three technical indicators of fracturing operation in Tuha Oilfield, and became the most large-scale fracturing operation. The most large-scale fracturing operation previously was completed in the middle of July with the records of 7 fracturing stages, 6993 cubic meters of fluid volume and 345 cubic meters of sand volume.
