PROJECT CHALLENGE
ENTI undertook integration turnkey service for production enhancement and horizontal cementing of the first tight oil well for PetroChina at Zhahaquan, Qinghai. The horizontal well had a TVD of about 4,300m with a horizontal length of 800m and featured high formation fracture pressure and narrow artificial fractures, which were sensitive to sand rate and proppant size.
 

SOLUTIONS
1. Integral casing centralizer and CETANTM improved horizontal cementing quality to meet the requirements of a large-scale fracturing operation and have no effect on the pump rate of casing fracturing.
2. ENTI-30 slickwater series and ENTI-10 lower guar gum series were based on EETC design.
3. ENTI-101 proppant improved propping penetration of the formation and kept good flow conductivity.
4. Coiled tubing plug and clustered perforation were aimed at high closure stress.  

ACHIEVEMENTS
The well realized good horizontal cementing and featured the first successful application of plug setting by coiled tubing in one trip, clustered perforation techniques and horizontal sand plug packer setting in China. This operation resulted in the setting of 5 records including frac fluid volume, proppant volume, pump rate, artificial fracture numbers and fracturing trucks on a single well site.
