PROJECT CHALLENGES
ENTI undertook tight oil integrated services from PetroChina. This unconventional reservoir showed greater potential in oil exploration and production with clear geologic origin. However, there was not enough refined 3D research to meet the demand of commercial development. Additionally, there were more challenges during the operation, which required more optimization in drilling and completion designs. The challenges includes: implement the real geo-engineering integration; the slimhole and small gaps horizontal well configuration of more than 2000 meters make it difficult to ensure the safety, quality and efficiency of drilling and cementing; the heterogenety of reservoir; the complication and thin reservoir make it difficult to ensure the accuracy of “sweet spot”.
SOLUTIONS
ENTI utilized geo-engineering integrated operation model in this project. We implement the "Reservoir Quality",
combined closely with the "Drilling Quality" and "Completion Quality", in order to enhance oil and gas recovery.
In terms of geology, our unique TITANTM 3D Geosteering technology ensured high "sweet spot" accuracy, which made better preparation for the following stimulation treatment.
• In terms of drilling, ENTI used rotatory steerable drilling technology, environmentally-friendly pseudo-oil water-based drilling fluid system, CETANTM Elastic and Tough Ductile Cement Slurry and geosteering to ensure high quality well conditions and drilling efficiency.
• In terms of stimulation, based on the demand of "Reservoir Quality" and "Drilling Quality", ENTI designed the corresponding fracturing fluid system and fracturing treatment. Utilizing “One Stage One Plan” operation concept, we made our best to realize the potential of "Reservoir Quality" and "Drilling Quality" to enhance oil and gas recovery.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• Drilling integration was implemented successfully and efficiently (it's the twice time-effectiveness of other service providers in the same area.), making the first new record of 2000m horizontal section without any casing deformation and other problems;
• Under the circumstances of complicated reservoir and inadequate reservoir data, "Sweet Spot" drilling-encounter ratio reached to 88%.
